How We Grew AI Visibility by 364% and Nearly Doubled Non-Branded Search Impressions
The Rayze team have been helping us optimize for the new frontier of brand discovery - AI search. They're easy to work with and go beyond their remit, bringing in their broader SEO and web expertise as well as acting as true advisory partners. They're data-led and action-oriented, which means we have a clear set of priorities that are helping move the dial and improve our brand AI visibility.
Who Onclusive is
Onclusive is a media intelligence and PR analytics platform used by communications, marketing and PR teams at organisations across the world. Their product covers media monitoring, earned media analytics, social listening, and PR measurement — helping brands understand what is being said about them, where, and what it means for their reputation and strategy.
Social listening is one of their flagship capabilities: real-time insight into conversations, sentiment and trends across social platforms, helping communications teams move faster, respond smarter, and demonstrate clear impact.
The challenge: Onclusive's UK presence had strong brand recognition but the organic and AI search signals underpinning their social listening category were underdeveloped. The product page existed. The supporting content existed. But the internal architecture, content depth, and structural signals that AI systems use to understand — and cite — a brand as a category authority were not in place.
What we did to achieve this
Our engagement on Onclusive's UK subdomain (/en-gb/) was focused specifically on the social listening topic cluster. The strategy was not complicated. It was disciplined.
1. Social listening topic cluster — content and page optimisation
We identified social listening as the highest-value cluster to build authority around: strong commercial intent, meaningful search volume, and — critically — a category where AI tools are increasingly being asked to recommend tools and explain concepts.
We improved the product page at /en-gb/products/social-listening/ — sharpening its structure, strengthening its keyword signals, and making it a cleaner destination for both users and AI systems evaluating what Onclusive does and for whom.
We then optimised the supporting blog content at /en-gb/resources/blog/what-is-social-listening/ alongside related content pieces, turning them from standalone pages into a coherent cluster that points authority back to the product page and signals genuine topical depth to search engines and LLMs alike.
2. Internal linking architecture
Internal linking is one of the most underused levers in both SEO and GEO. We restructured the internal links between the social listening product page and its supporting content — creating clear, intentional pathways that help Google understand the relationship between pages, and help AI systems understand that Onclusive's content on social listening is interconnected, comprehensive, and authoritative.
This matters more than most teams realise. LLMs don't just look at individual pages. They look at how a site's content holds together as a body of knowledge on a topic.
3. Technical audit and remediation
We delivered a technical audit to Onclusive's development team, identifying site-level issues that were limiting crawlability and indexing across the UK subdomain. Resolving these issues meant that the content and structural improvements we made could actually be discovered, indexed, and used — by Google's crawlers and by the LLMs that use search infrastructure as part of their training and retrieval.
Good GEO work cannot compound on a technically weak foundation. This was the necessary groundwork.
Results
AI visibility — the primary goal
This is where the results are most striking, and most directly tied to the GEO work.
Total AI source sessions grew by +364.2% in the five months of our engagement, compared to the equivalent prior period.
Broken down by platform:
- ChatGPT: +368% — the largest source of AI-driven sessions, nearly 5x growth
- Gemini: +2,050% — from near-zero to a meaningful channel
- Perplexity: +310% — tripling over the period
Share of Voice for tracked prompts — the prompts Onclusive's buyers are actually typing into AI tools — grew from 1.8% in February 2026 to 4.2% in May 2026. That's more than a doubling of AI presence in the space of three months.

Organic search — the same work, different surface
The organic numbers reflect the same improvements, because the work is the same. Strengthening content, fixing technical issues, and building topical authority makes a site more visible to Google and more citable by AI — simultaneously.
Comparing the five months before our engagement to the five months during:
- Non-branded search clicks: +67.6%
- Non-branded search impressions: +95.6%
- Organic search sessions: +320.8%
- Search impressions overall: +155.6%
- Organic engaged sessions: +39.0%

Google Search Console data shows average position improving from approximately 23.2 to 15.3 over the same period, with clicks growing from 18 to 64 in the most recent six-month window and impressions growing from 2.57k to 9.04k.
The non-branded numbers are particularly important — they show that new audiences, people who don't already know the Onclusive brand, are finding them through search and AI at a significantly higher rate than before.
Key takeaways
- GEO is not a separate discipline from SEO. It is SEO, evolved. Every improvement we made — content quality, internal linking, technical health, topical depth — improved Onclusive's visibility in both Google and AI tools simultaneously. There is no version of good GEO that doesn't also produce better organic search performance.
- Topic clusters are the unit of GEO authority, not individual pages. Onclusive had a social listening product page and supporting content. What they lacked was a coherent cluster — pages that visibly belong together and collectively signal expertise. Building that cluster is what drove the AI citation growth.
- Internal linking is how AI systems understand your content. Restructuring the links between the product page and its supporting content sent clearer signals about what Onclusive's social listening offering covers, how it connects, and why it should be cited as an authority source.
- Technical health is the prerequisite. The content and structural work only lands if the site can be crawled, indexed, and understood. Fixing technical issues isn't glamorous — but it's what allows everything else to compound.
- AI visibility is measurable, and it moves quickly. Share of Voice across tracked prompts grew from 1.8% to 4.2% in three months. ChatGPT sessions nearly quintupled. These are not slow-burn results — when the foundations are right, AI visibility can improve fast.
- Non-branded growth is the signal that matters. The +95.6% growth in non-branded impressions and +67.6% in non-branded clicks tells the most important story: Onclusive is reaching people who weren't already looking for them. That is the compounding value of both GEO and SEO done well.
